William P. Shiao is Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer of CTBC Bank. He leads the bank’s Credit Group, which is responsible for credit approval/administration, credit policies and procedures, CECL/ALLL reporting, special assets management, and appraisal review functions.

Prior to joining CTBC Bank, he held Senior Vice President positions in credit administration at Pacific Premier Bank and Citizens Business Bank, respectively, where he was primarily responsible for decisioning C&I, CRE, ABL, SBA, and specialized loans for middle market and small business borrowers. Before that he had spent more than 12 years at Toyota Financial Services with progressive leadership roles in risk management (including commercial and consumer credit), credit administration, and portfolio management. Earlier in his career he gained significant experience in C&I and ABL underwriting and portfolio management at Wells Fargo and CIT Group.

With more than 25 years of operational and leadership experience in commercial credit and risk management, Mr. Shiao has established an excellent track record of achieving organizational strategic and financial objectives while strengthening credit risk and portfolio management infrastructure and practices. He has been highly successful in building and leading high performing teams and collaborating cross- functionally.

Mr. Shiao holds a BS degree in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA degree in finance from the University of California, Los Angeles.
